Have been interested in it for many years but not overly active until more recently. Had a chance to play with darkroom equipment one summer many years ago. The old Rebel X film camera was great but the Digital Rebel XT 6 years ago really helped to allow more shooting.
5D2. The EF100mm f/2.8 IS L macro is pretty fun for table top shots. Though my new 35mm f/2 is fun and light.
Creatively I probably spend most time on macro and table top still life. I have a lot of fun working with a few off camera flashes to try to recreate product shots. I like to take pictures of things you can't see with your naked eye (macro), or would not normally see (underside of the flower instead of the top), or making something look different than maybe it normally is.
Travel and street photography would be great to work on. On a recent trip to Taiwan, more often than not, the pictures were more or less snap shops. Under the pressure of running around to see things I tended to forget to think about how to look at subjects differently.
I saw a post card on the cork board through the window of the record shop on West Liberty downtown.
Hi. My name is Greg. Hoping to meet a few new people to shoot with.
