Ann Arbor Walks! is commited to promoting healthly living for its members through regular walks and hikes, healthy potlucks, recipe-swapping, and other related activities. Whether you would like to improve your health or just get together with friends to talk about your hectic life and relieve stress, Ann Arbor Walks! could be the group for you.

As of right now, our walk schedule includes: a weekly Wednesday walk in either the Botanical Gardens or the Arboretum, weekend walks in downtown A2 twice monthly, weekend hikes at the Pinckney State Recreation Area once monthly, weekend canoe trips down the Huron River from Argo Canoe Livery once monthly. All weekend events are followed by dining out.

This schedule will change starting October 1, 2009. Stay tuned for more info!

MEMBERSHIP CYCLES:

We have two major membership cycles. The Hot Cycle consists of the months of April through September. The Cold Cycle covers October through March. Each period is 6 months long.

MEMBER LEVELS:

Active Member- achieved by attending at least 1 group event
Core Member- achieved by attending at least 5 group events
Elite Member- achieved by attending at least 10 group events
Platinum Member- achieved by attending at least 25 group events

to the extreme! - periodically our group will partake in very strenuous events, finishers are denoted this way--our first extreme event was a marathon (26.2 mile) walk

Leveling up as a member grants you priority RSVPing (in case space is limited for an event), the ability to attend special events (coming soon) and bragging rights.

MEMBER DUES:

Option 1> Pay $1 per event attended until you attend 10 events within the current 6-month cycle (at which point you are free for all remaining events during that period)

Option 2> Pay dues for the entire cycle up front. You can pay $10 for Hot Cycle or $5 for Cold Cycle and be covered for the entire 6 month period (you won't have to worry about remembering your dollar each time you attend).
