How do you go from new config management request to fully functioning and testing code that is running in “production”? How do you know that the requirements are met and that its ready to be deployed? We will walk through the process from request to deployable feature and have some fun along the way.

Ansible 2.0 and Beyond

Timothy Appnel, Principal Architect at Ansible

Please join us for an overview of Ansible 2.0 and beyond with Timothy Appnel from Ansible. Tim will explain why the update was necessary, what has changed in Ansible, and what you can expect from Ansible moving forward. You'll also learn about new features available in Ansible 2.0, including:

• Task blocks

• Execution strategies

• Refined playbook parser

• Increased flexibility

• New modules and plugins

A Q&A session will follow as time allows.

Timothy Appnel is a Principal Architect and "Jack of all trades" at Ansible with over 25 years of corporate IT and startup experience across numerous industries. Tim is an old-timer in the Ansible community that has been contributing since version v0.5. The synchronize module in Ansible is all his fault.
