an open letter regarding the future of A Word with You Press

Though I have over a thousand people on my mailing list, this is going out to fewer than fifty of you whom I consider our core participants, and to a few of you who are not writers but supportive of my efforts to pull this off. It is all bcc to protect your privacy.
As you know, we have taken a few licks but not only are we still standing, we actually are in a better position to succeed than ever before. Success? Remaining an open, on-line playground for writers, a de-facto writer's workshop, and a place where a writer can develop kindred spirits on line while improving their craft.
It has truly been a community effort on the part of all of you to keep it vibrant, but the responsibilities for keeping the lights turned on, the doors open, and your words flowing has been mine. I have subsidized all this by plying my old trade (no, not THAT one!) as needed; and it has always
I have now as most of you know relocated the towers that are A Word with You Press
to Moscow, Idaho. My publishing and editorial contracts have been picking up, so that I hope perhaps within the next year to be able to give up the day job and devote my efforts full time to this website and to the publishing of your stories.
I want to thank you for your support. You all ride a roller coaster quite well. And thank you to those of you who actually sent cash donations to help keep us up and running.
In order to turbo-charge our current leap through cyberspace, we have a contest that offers $500 as a prize. The local chamber of commerce is helping me find sponsors but I will put that up myself if I can't get sponsorship.
What I would like from each and everyone of you is a contest entry, which is free to everyone who has ever entered our contests! As the core writers, you have all submitted really fine stories, and it is the quality of those stories that brings people to our website and keeps us alive. Equally important, please leave comments for those who submit stories. For some who do not pursue publishing, this may be the only recognition they get.
The contest is in honor of Peggy Dobbs, and uses the prompt: "I swear, it's not too late."
Won't you enter for a chance to win and to re-invigorate our on-line presence?
Here are the parameters:
I would love to hear from all of you, and please, let your friends know on Facebook and twitter that we are here to stay.
