HOW TO FIND LINES DANCE STUDIO/PARKING: It's inside the building with the state farm sign *see picture in link below*

There's street parking and you can park behind the state farm building in the u.s. bank parking lot where there is plenty of parking available.

If you take public transportation it's only like 2 blocks from the max station.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! However do remember you are going to be getting a good workout and will be sweating.

Below are some recommendations.

Good shoes for dancing for ladies: Heels is the norm (they help with your spinning). Avoid high heels if you're a beginner (try with 1 or 2 inches then go higher as you get better in your dancing). If you are interested in dancing shoes speak to instructor Anita for advice.

Good shoes for dancing for guys: Any shoe with a flat sole, dress shoes for guys (non-rubber sole if possible preferably leather sole)

Bad shoes for dancing: sneakers, tennis shoes, flip flops, bowling shoes.

WATER: you might need it. Bring your own or you can buy bottled water there for 50c

GUM: Remember you'll probably be dancing with someone so be courteous.

YOUR SMILE: Nobody likes to dance with a poker face. Show your smile while dancing! Remember dancing is fun, dancing is happiness, be happy!

Hi Emily. No dance partner required. In salsa everyone dances with everyone so when asked say yes. :-)

Hi Meike. It is natural to be nervous about dancing we all start that way. It comes from the belief that you are being watched/judged but then you realize that nobody is really doing that! I had that too till i realized that everyone is too busy dancing and doing their moves to be paying attention to me ;) So no worries this is a beginner friendly event and a good introduction to salsa.

This event just got better. There are now going to be 3 special performances in this event which you cannot miss! A $3 cover was added but it is a small price to pay for a salsa lesson, a night of dancing, making new friends, performances and having fun! I hope to see you all there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
