Using Apache Aurora as a Scheduler for Apache Mesos @ Twitter

Details

Apache Aurora http://aurora.incubator.apache.org/ is a service scheduler that runs on top of Apache Mesos http://mesos.apache.org/ , enabling you to run long-running services that take advantage of Mesos' scalability, fault-tolerance, and resource isolation. Apache Mesos is a cluster manager that simplifies the complexity of running applications on a shared pool of servers.

I am pleased that we will have Bill Farner https://twitter.com/wfarner presenting for this meetup. Bill has been working for over four years on Aurora at Twitter and is an Aurora committer and on the PPMC.

It will be a great opportunity to not only learn more about Aurora but also be able to understand where it came from and where it is going.
