Introduction to Apache Mesos

Details
Please join us for a registered-only seminar for Apache Mesos User Group NYC.
This seminar will introduce Apache Mesos and its ecosystem of integrations. Apache Mesos http://mesos.apache.org/ is a cluster manager that provides efficient resource isolation and sharing across distributed applications, or frameworks. It can run Hadoop, Jenkins, Spark, Aurora, and other applications on a dynamically shared pool of nodes. This seminar will explain what you need to do to get up and running with Apache Mesos as well as taking a deep dive on schedulers and the uses of frameworks, operating clusters, hdfs and other ops related items. Features* Fault-tolerant replicated master using ZooKeeper* Scalability to 10,000s of nodes* Isolation between tasks with Linux Containers* Multi-resource scheduling (memory and CPU aware)* Java, Python and C++ APIs for developing new parallel applications* Web UI for viewing cluster state
We welcome user groups of Apache Mesos in NYC to attend and grow support for the project together. This seminar would be appropriate for people with all levels of experience with Apache Mesos.
