Mobile Apps in Education

Details
According to Interactive Data Corp., the U.S. educational market for PCs and tablets is worth about $5 billion, with tablet sales to educational institutions doubling from 2011 to 2012.
What does this mean for educators and app developers? How can students and teachers use mobile apps the most efficient way possible? What can mobile developers do to address educators' concerns?
This session will address these questions along with similar discussions.
Agenda:
1- Introductions: One purpose of this event is to connect developers with educators, and bridge the gap of communication.
2- Discussion: Benefits and pitfalls of mobile apps in education (k12 and higher ed). This is an informal open presentation, with the purpose of getting discussions moving among attendees. If you'd like to give a presentation (not a sales pitch), please contact me.
3- Networking: open networking and refreshments
Notes:
- If for some reason you can't make it, please change your RSVP to make room for others.
- No aggressive sales, although we don't mind if you pitch any solutions you may have.
