Family Winter Fun Hike (1C1-2)

Join Appalachian Mountain Club hike leader and state park educator Ian Kindle for a fun winter exploration for all ages.

We'll talk a little bit about what makes winter cold and where animals go in the winter, then we'll spend the rest of the time exploring Giving Pond and hunting for winter wonders, such as snow, ice, animals and animal sign, and whatever else we can find.

The hike will be an easy paced, 1-2 miles or less hike suitable for all ages. Come dressed in warm layers of clothing, and prepared for wintery conditions. Bringing water, a snack, and extra dry clothing just in case is recommended.

Program will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or poor driving conditions, but will go on in the event of light precipitation. If decent snow on the ground some loaner snow shoes will be available. Registration optional, but appreciated! RSVP here or at http://tinyurl.com/delcanalcal.
