Thursday Evening Hike @ Valley Forge (3C6)

Our return to VFNP from mid-Spring to mid-Summer! Please join us for a fast-paced six-mile evening hike at Valley Forge National Park. Meet at Washington's HQ parking lot. Please be there at 6.15 pm. Heels up 6.30 pm. Please be on time. Optional refreshment stop afterwards. Well behaved, people friendly dogs on a leash allowed.

This hike is scheduled for 6.15 pm every Thursday, it would be very helpful if everyone can get there by 6.15 pm. That way we can start signing everyone up. Initially, We will most likely split up the group on the way back so that faster hikers can do a bit more.

This hike is about 6 miles long with rolling hills and couple of climbs. you will need sturdy shoes and water. Please click the link below for directions to Washington's HQ parking area at Valley Forge.

I want to know what I missed. I showed up yesterday @ 5:45pm and hung around until 6:35 never having seen a single member of the group. The group was to meet at Washington's HQ parking lot no later than 6:15. Did I not receive a late notice on changes of venue or time?

There was a large crowd under a tree at the Washington Crossing parking lot; you couldn't miss us. We didn't get started until after slightly after 6:30. There was no change of venue; that's where we always meet. Are you sure you were at the right parking lot -- just off Route 23?

THANK YOU, Bijal. Well-planned and executed! I look forward to attending more of your hikes in the future (but probably not in the summer)!

People, thank you so very much for joining the Thursday evening hike. It turned out to be a terrific evening with sunny skies and reasonable humidity. Without Phil being there, I cranked it up a notch! We did Misery from Rt. 23 and then Mt. Joy straight up and Misery again from Wolfiner! We did 6.16 miles in 2 hours and 18 minutes. I am guessing total up elevation of about[masked] feet. This was a very good workout! We had 26 participants for the hike and 24 did all three hills! Jeff, Walt, and Bill thank you for sweeping. Jason and Eleanor thank you for your help too. We had 13 people at Rock Bottom - great times and I can’t remember any of the conversations! See you all next week. - Bijal

Hi Bijal. I was looking for a cell phone in case I can't find you, to tell you not to wait for me. But I can't find one. Mine is[masked] 8754. The coverage varies. I hope to see you but I don't expect you to wait. Also, it may feel too hot for me. I was trying to wait until the last minute to assess the heat...

I plan to bring my dog. Hope everyone's ok with that.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
