Summary of Daniel's Talk:

The Netflix API, although founded to support a large set of unknown public developers, is now focused on enabling a rich streaming experience on myriad devices to customers all around the world. As a result, the API consumers are now a small set of known developers, Netflix employees who develop the UIs across these various devices. Nothing is more important in API design than knowing your consumers and the shift within Netflix has had profound impacts to the Netflix API design. This presentation will go into detail on how the Netflix API has changed, what our current and future goals are, how these goals translate into how we operate, and how the patterns that we see are likely transferable to other API providers.
