Networking, feedback, ideas, energy, focus, troubleshooting. I think it's really important to be in the company of other entrepreneurs and creative thinkers. Once you have certain things in place, so much of the work is about troubleshooting and maintaining a high level of energy and optimism.
Yes. One thing that I need help with is delivery and media options- I've been focusing on developing new directions and ideas for myself over the last few years, and have invested less time in reaching an audience. I used to operate in a city where I knew everybody- almost! Working on a project in NYC, where I have lived for 4 years, requires me to rethink the community in which I work and form new relationships/partnerships (remote or local). While many of the issues I focus on are local, I believe the extended network is a key part of developing relevance.
I am a studio artist and an art educator.
All of those things sound great, also field trips
