The Arizona Music Projects is a networking Meetup group for people who are in the music business, are musicians, songwriters, or producers. If you are a music fan who doesn't actually produce anything, this group is not for you.
If you joined us just to have another group in your list (inactive), this group is not for you.
We are not a dating site. Please notify the organizers if you feel you are being harassed.
Organizers' Responsibility (2009-10)
As an Organizer you are here to support the group, not to use the group as a marketing tool for promotion of your own music, band, services, products, etc.
We are here to organize the group, bring traffic, keep peace, keep talking, and keep everyone motivated.
If you decided to step up to be an organizer, you are committed to the group and our members. You are expected to spend a little extra time of your day to help with the group-work.
You must be motivated to start a topic, respond to emails and message posts. You must expect some periods of high and low site traffic, perhaps a lot of talking-to-yourself.
You are responsible to do some writing for the group as well as setting up rules.
If at anytime you are exhausted, don't push yourself. Discuss with the other organizers and step down to take a break. No hard feelings.
Event Organizers' Responsibility (2010-2)
As an Event Organizer, you have the ability to organize meetup event FOR THE GROUP. Don't use it as a feature to generate audiences for your event. We don't want to see only 1 or 2 members attending (yourself+your partner), then you rate it high... what's the point? Attending members should be taken care of and you should have at least some members waiting to RSVP before scheduling a meetup.
To support and connect people involved in the many aspects of the Music business in Arizona, including professional, part-time and aspiring players, writers, singers and marketeers. Music venues, recording and rehearsal facility, producers, distributors and labels are also welcome.
Event activities and topics include brainstorming and networking, jam sessions, "How to Market" domestically and Internationally, Recording/Production classes, Guest VIPs, and Member gigs - to name a few. The group also plans to put on a mini-Festival later this year in support .
