Perhaps you remember being a newbie, or perhaps you still are… and whenever you pair with someone or try to learn, there's all this extra 'stuff' that gets in the way of the single thing you're trying to learn… "Wait… what are gemsets?", "Huh? You're using zsh instead of Bash? What does that mean?"… "Why do I need to worry about ruby versions?"… "How do I install MySQL, and whats this 'brew' thing anyway?"…. "I have no idea what 'vim vs. emacs' is all about, and the whole topic makes me feel like I'm going to make the wrong choice… help!"

Tonights meeting is a celebration of all those things! Lets take them out of the dark and explain whats going on and why. We'll have a collection of speakers prepared to talk about their development environments, the thing they 'wish they knew' when they got started, and we'll have a little extra room for your own questions, answers, and spontaneous presentations should you have something to talk about.
