Are you willing to be part of a group where we watch out for each other? Some people are tempted to go off on their own but this is not acceptable because we've wasted time waiting or searching for them. A clear photo of yourself is required.
I have a medium taste for adventure. I have visited many abandoned structures solo; very interested in travel but have limited times when available to do so; began urban photography exploration in my twenties while studying photography in college. Mostly do landscape photography solo in early morning hours.
Can you remain calm in a dark abandoned building? Are you fit enough to run with the group and walk along uneven surfaces if the terrain requires it? If not, you shouldn't join this group.
Urban and rural locations; I do mostly landscapes but am also very interested in abandoned structures and graffiti and the combo of man-made elements in nature.
Are you willing to sign a liability release waiver? Not that we do risky meetups but because the areas require alertness and caution. Yes or No.
I haven't done much nighttime photography - but am ready to try it. I need to review my manual - new camera - and I can handle it.
For new members you must upload 2-5 of your recent photos to the current Members' Photo Album. A visual introduction. You have 8 days to do it or your membership is cancelled. See Discussions tab in menu for directions.
Not yet; let me think about it.
A meetup consist of a field shoot and "social" where we relax at an eatery to show a few of our recent photos. Not a critique but to learn from each others efforts and get in the practice of talking "photography". Comment?
Not yet; maybe after a few times with the group.
I've been doing photography since the 1980s - I just met Digne last week and he suggested I join this group.
What Danielle is saying about this Meetup Group
Fascinating to see all the different viewpoints through the photos. Good photos.
