The Shooting Stars Program celebrates young Artists and Arts Educators for their artistic achievements with college scholarships, awards and honorariums. Since its creation, the Shooting Stars Program has recognized almost 1,000 high school seniors for artistic excellence and contributions to their community; awarding over $200,000 in scholarships and almost $65,000 in teacher honorariums.
The Gala begins with a student exhibition opening and a reception (including complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages) at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. Guests may also experience the finalists’ journey through a montage (DVD) of the Performing Arts auditions in the Nerman's Hudson Auditorium.
Immediately following the reception, help celebrate all of our Shooting Stars Finalists and Arts Educators as they are recognized and Scholarship Recipients announced at the Awards Ceremony in Yardley Hall. This is an event to remember!
