The weekly meetings are put on hold for now.

There will be time for sitting in silence and time for discussions. My intention is a meditation practice using a more contemporary Western approach without rituals. There will be no bowing, no chanting, or incense. The goal of these gatherings is to deepen our awareness of our conditioned mind and body, habitual reactivity to life events, and resistance to life as it is. When sitting we will watch our own thoughts and body’s sensations. We will see that there is no ‘I’ behind our thoughts, that they have their own life and “I” has no control of their content; and finally that “I” doesn’t exist. With time the intensity of thoughts, emotion and desires weaken moving us to sacred silence, emptiness, nothingness; the realization of the truth of what we are.

These meetings would create opportunities for us to connect with people who have similar pathways. I practiced meditation (sitting in silence) for about ten years and my awareness has been shaped mainly by teaching of Joko C. Beck, The Course in Miracles, David R. Hawkins, Adyashanti, Eckhart Tolle and Peter Fenner. The group will be self-led as I do not want to be construed as the teacher.

There is no fee for attending these meetings; there is no need to know anything or to have meditation experience. Just come and be.

Chairs will be available but feel free to bring your own sitting devices.
