We are parents in the Canton, Holly Springs, Woodstock, Acworth, Kennesaw, Marietta, Jasper, Ball Ground, Cumming & Roswell areas. We have a child or children (or teenager or young adult) with Asperger's Syndrome (they are called Aspie's) -they are on the autism spectrum. We meet with other nearby moms and dads or grandparents of children, teenagers, and young adults like ours. We discuss resources (like doctors, dentists, therapists, Social Security Income, health care costs and insurance, schools - both public and private, etc.) We offer each other support, ideas, friendship, and some fun and laughter, too.

Asperger's Disorder or Asperger's Syndrome (sometimes known as high-functioning autism) is very common. You can find out more about it at www.Wikipedia.com or at www.WebMD.com

This group is for family members of an Aspie only -- no solicitors please! We don't want people coming who want to talk to us about a product or service they sell. We are for parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles of Aspie's. We leave our Aspie's at home so we can talk frankly and openly.

We get together once a month for an evening out with drinks and dinner to talk about our unusual children and our families; and the challenges we and our children and teens have met and are still facing. Come join us. We will make you feel right at home with us. A shortcut to our group is: www.CCAspies.org

Our kids have so much in common, even though they are all very different people. As we share our stories, it makes us feel less isolated and alone. ...
