Volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank (August)

Once again, join fellow atheists to volunteer at Second Harvest's Cypress Center. We will be sorting food at the warehouse to prepare it for distribution.

Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. Everyone must be at least 14 years old. Anyone 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Second Harvest suggests that volunteers consider bringing a donation of non-perishable foods. High-protein items like peanut butter and tuna are preferable along with canned meals like stew or soup. Learn more about Second Harvest at http://www.shfb.org.

5 stars from me. I'd prefer chocolate ice cream at the end, but we have to live with what they get donated.

Oops, having just read Brian's comment, I'm pretty sure I forgot to give a rating... Of course it was 5 stars by me. :)

Singing along to the cheesy music and exchanging bad jokes was fun.

With all this positive feedback it is a real surprise that this Meetup was given 1.5 stars. Did someone regret giving back to the community? ;)

We had a great turnout and it was fun. What better way to get some good exercise and do some good in the world. I'll be posting pics tonight.

Hey guys, thanks for the good times with the pears. I'll dream of pear palettes tonight.

Thanks to everyone who came for helping out. We processes 16,500 lbs. of pears, by far beating our record of 11,000 or so lbs. of plums. We had a great crew this time and we seem to be getting more efficient!

Sorry guys, something has come up for tomorrow and I won't be able to make it (again!).

Sorry but we have our Board of Directors meeting tomorrow night so I can't make it. Sometimes the tedious work conflicts with the fun. You all are great faces of this fine organization, wear those ACSJ shirts proudly! So awesome that so many of you are giving back to the community. Don't forget to post some photos too!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
