"Apply-a-thon"­ jobs project with San Jose homeless

DATE CHANGED from the 8th to FRIDAY THE 15TH

Seeking 2-3 people (and your laptops) to join Stephanie from the Philanthropy Team as she volunteers for the Downtown Streets Team.

We will assist homeless individuals seek out and apply for jobs (1-4 PM). There is wifi and they will have paper applications as well and website info that we can use.

The Downtown Streets (http://streetsteam.org/) Team is an AMAZING community group that is committed to giving the homeless a “hand UP” rather a “handout.” Lyn and I met some of the staff and clients when we brought down some backpacks and toiletry kits. We were so impressed by all the ways this team is helping our homeless community members to help themselves.
