Bye bye PayPal

Hi all,

This morning, my PayPal account was breached and hundreds of dollars were funnelled through it before it was locked down by PayPal. From what I have gathered so far, the security breach was not on my end of things.

Not that I was particularly happy using PayPal anyway, but this has been the clincher: Adelaide Atheists will no longer be using PayPal services for collecting money. All monetary collection will now be done using cold, hard cash so that if anyone wants to rob us, they'll need to do it in person.

Any members who have paid in the last few days, fear not: I'll cover the losses and you're still all paid up for memberships/events.

The skeptics amongst you may say that it's purely random that this has occurred so soon after implementing PayPal for our meetup group, but I prefer to listen to my highly qualified network admin friend: when it comes to exploits, there are no coincidences. So be careful, kids.

Be well,

/J.

PS. We need more folks to come to the Creation movie on Saturday! C'mon! We need 25 to get the group discount!
