"Every day is an Atheist Holiday"

Good morning one and all.

Last night I finished the excellent book from Penn Jillette, and found myself wanting to talk.   The book inspired me to be come out of the atheist closet and face the new world.   Penn's license plate "Atheist" is a piece of genius marketing in subtly, making a mental note "not to drive like an asshole" so people can see that not believing in an set of ancient texts doesn't equate that we are without morality.

I have always been this way of thinking and have been read deep in these subject areas for many years.   However I have never been overtly about my personal views.   I am surrounded at work by people of many different flavors of beliefs who wear their crosses (and other iconify) around their bodies.

So here it is, I reach for the t'internet, tap in "atheist richmond" and find myself here at Meetup.   Looking forward to some interesting conversation and musings.

Have a great weekend,

alan

I would also recommend following his weekly podcast, Penn's Sunday School, which is extremely funny.
