Data storage in clouds

We are going to visit the concepts of data storage in the cloud computing world and explore the capabilities offered by OpenStack in this regard.

OpenStack aims to cover entirely, management and provisioning of infrastructure in the datacenter. The main place that all pieces of significant data live in a computing system is the storage system. Combining the above facts we are introducing the OpenStack services that are designed to meet data storage requirements in a cloud environment.

We present a session on Glance, Cinder and Swift along with their features, describing a high-level architecture and common use cases.
