High Availability in OpenStack

Details

High availability (HA) is a major need for the vast majority of enterprise software applications. On the other hand, cloud environments are built with the rule that any instance is expected to fail.

What should i do with my workloads that require high availability?

We are going to investigate all the aspects involved in providing a robust, highly-available infrastructure and the different approaches to follow for workload failure resilience. We are going to give a short presentation of the OpenStack Orchestration component, named Heat. How you can define the provisioning and management of software application with Heat Orchestration Template (HOT).
Finally, we are going to have an open discussion and experience sharing on how you can upload your already running application to an OpenStack cloud.

As always, your own stories on OpenStack are very welcome!
Please, contact one of the organizers if you want to give a talk.
