Go Glamping with Keeping It Wild! Famlies who enjoy being in nature but prefer a soft bed at night are called Glampers. Yurts are a blend between a tent and cabin with a small deck, picnic table and grill outside, plus furniture, electrical outlets and a ceiling fan inside and hot showers and flush toilets nearby. Enjoy two days and nights of fun filled family activities and sleep in a yurt at High Falls State Park. The park is located 45 minutes south of downtown Atlanta and 1.8 miles off I-75 near Jackson Georgia (approximate mileage).
Families arrive Friday evening between 4-8 PM (please eat dinner before arriving). Saturday morning simple breakfast followed by hike with a naturalist (bring picnic), Saturday afternoon activities, evening campstove dinner and campfire s’mores.
Camping/Outdoor enthusiast will provide instruction on use of a campstove, fire starting and more. Other activities include: private ranger-led hike, children activities and more.
Keeping It Wild will provide: Yurt (http://www.gastateparks.org/yurts) (2 nights) | loaner Camp stove | Ranger-led Family Hike | Junior Ranger Program (ages 5-12) includes patch | GeoCaching ( loaner GPS unit provided) | Campfire S’more | KIW Vegetarian Chili sampling | and more
Glampers are responsible for: 1)registration and payment (http://www.kiwglamping.eventbrite.com/) (payment includes all activities 2) Transportation and park fee ($5 per vehicle) 3) All meals (food) (simple meals ideas will be provided) 4) Adults are responsible for their children at all times 5) Bedding (sleeping bags) 6) Flashlight or Headlamp and Lantern 7) Campfire chairs 8) Cooking supplies i.e. skillet, pot or pan and utensils 9) Returning loaner gear in clean and good working condition | What does a Yurt look like? Tent Campers are welcome and are responsible for:

No payments or walk up registration the day of the event. Campsites go fast!
