LEADERSHIP CHANGE

Lindsay M. Hart recently assumed responsibility as Organizer of this Meetup Group. The Atlanta BlackBerry Developer's Group was in danger of closing and no one stepped into this leadership role. If another group member was "in line" for this role or if you would like to assist me in this effort, please contact me immediately.

IMMEDIATE GOALS

In order to make this a successful group, we will make some changes to this website to communicate our core message. As the group's new organizer, I have some immediate goals:

  1. Establish a connection with RIM to determine the opportunities that are available to make this an active and effective group.
  2. Contact the current membership to notify them of the leadership change
  3. Poll members, elicit feedback, and gain agreement on the VISION and PURPOSE of this developer's group
  4. GROW the membership
  5. Promote BlackBerry 10 & #BB10Believe

OUR LEGACY

To remind members of the original purpose of this group, the FOUNDING PRINCIPLES are contained below. Changes to our vision will be reflected on this website.

FOUNDING PRINCIPLES (unedited)

This is the place to be for BlackBerry fans and developers who are interested in networking with the right people and staying updated with what’s happening in the BlackBerry world. Join us and other local BlackBerry developers at the Atlanta BlackBerry Developer's Group. As an official RIM-sponsored BlackBerry Developer Group, these meetings will be a chance to learn about and share practical development tips and experience as well as to network with the local BlackBerry community. We'll have 8-10 meetings per year to share BlackBerry knowledge and to have some fun in the process. Our goal is to build a knowledge sharing network for writing quality software on the BlackBerry platform - a place where you can turn for answers and advice. If you live or work in the Atlanta area, please join our community to stay abreast of the events, discussions, community and technology happening in-town.
