New Meetup: Titanic Aquatic Exhibit @ Georgia Aquarium!

Announcing a new Meetup for The Atlanta Browncoats Firefly Meetup Group!

What: Titanic Aquatic Exhibit @ Georgia Aquarium!

When: July 18,[masked]:15 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Not exactly a Firefly event, but some people expressed an interest at the meetup. I am going with Alayna's group the Atlanta New In Town meetup.

Here is the text from the meetup:
"Georgia Aquarium invites you to experience the mysterious, tragic story of one of the most famous ships in history through the new Titanic Aquatic. This new Titanic exhibition brings to life the story of the fated Titanic through authentic artifacts and hands-on interactive experiences. This exhibit has been extended till Sept. 7, 2009!

Ninety-six years ago, Titanic set sail on her maiden voyage and on the dark night of April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg. Nearly two hours and forty minutes later, the entirety of this grand ship lay beneath the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The media frenzy surrounding Titanic's famous victims, the legends about what happened on board the ship and the discovery of the wreck in 1985 have all contributed to Titanic's mysterious legacy.

Titanic Aquatic includes a vast collection of more than 190 artifacts recovered from Titanic?s debris field including 40 that have never been seen before. In addition to recovered artifacts and dramatic room recreations, the exhibition will engage visitors through interactive displays and captivating high-definition video presentations on Titanic?s construction, maiden voyage, tragic sinking and recovery of authentic artifacts.

This looks like an awesome exhibit, and I'm so excited to see it before it leaves at the end of the summer. We'll meet at 7:15 for the 7:30 event, but I will likely be there earlier. This is a timed event, so you MUST be on time. You will not be admitted if you are late, and no refunds will be given.

Admission to the Titanic Exhibit also includes admission to the Aquarium, so we'll plan to stay until closing time at 10 PM! Food and beverages are available on premises, but we'll likely go out somewhere afterwards!

This will be a fabulous night out....RSVP now!!"
