Please join Lester Martin who will be presenting on Apache Hadoop. He will present a crash-course in the history of Hadoop, describe all the major moving parts, discuss the sweet-spots for this technology, review who the major players are, and detail Microsoft's involvement in this open-source suite of components.

As fast as we can we'll jump into a technology deep dive. "Core Hadoop" (i.e. HDFS and MapReduce) will be presented, and demoed using C#! We'll continue on and discuss the higher-level abstractions of Pig and Hive and demo the MapReduce use case in these ecosystem tools.
