Garden Lights at Atlanta Botanical Gardens

Take a break from holiday shopping and join us for a few hours of photographing the Garden Lights currently on display at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Over 1 million colored lights in various forms start to shine as the sun goes down. The Gardens are allowing the first 10 photographers that register for this meetup, entrance at their member rate of $15. Beyond the first ten, you must purchase your ticket online and pay the appropriate ABG member/non-member rate that applies to you. You may find out more information about the event and purchasing tickets here

This is the first year the Atlanta Botanical Gardens has had the lights on display and so far the response has been excellent. It will be a great opportunity to photograph the season in a new way. Be sure to bring your tripod, range of lenses w/ hoods, and timer controller or remote switch. There is a $5 parking fee required upon entering the gardens. We will meet at 5:00p at the garden entrance across from the parking deck.

*Please note that the ABG does not offer refunds for tickets purchased for any reason. In the case of inclement weather, a make-up date will be made available and your tickets may be applied to this or another date. I will have the makeup date available for you soon.

Please email me with any questions you have. I hope to see you there!

It was a great opportunity to meet fellow photographers, and get some experience shooting in a challenging environment. I'm not sure I would have thought to take some of the shots I took if it wasn't for the feedback and guidance that Dean provided throughout the meetup.

Another great Meetup gathering hosted by our organizer, Dean Stevenson. I have been to the Atlanta Botanical Garden during the spring but never at night. What a treat to enjoy the Garden on a cool winter night and to photograph all the lights! Many thanks to Dean for setting this event up!

Had an awesome night with Dean and met some really nice people! Dean is completely approachable for those who are a timid. He explains things thoroughly and makes sure you understand the answers to your questions. I highly recommend attending any of his workshops!
