How would you describe your level of photography skill? (Beginner, Amateur, Pro)

Amateur at best. I understand the basics of how a camera works, composition, layout, and so forth, but I really want to learn more in depth about lighting, and how the camera works in the real world so i can apply my knowledge to the digital world, as well as excell in my photography hobby.

Which digital camera(s) do you shoot with most often?

Nikon D3000. Apple iPhone when I am in a pinch.

Which type of photography interests you most? (Portrait, Landscapes, etc...)

Studio, for learning lighting. Figure/model for learning how to light and shape a person with lighting. Everything else for fun.

Hi, I'm David, a freelance Imaging Specialist. I worked as an Imaging Technician at National Geographic, specializing in Photoshop. I am currently studying animation, going into digital lighting. I want to learn more about lighting and photography.
