Happy New Year Everyone!

Would you like to know how to produce over a million pounds of food on just a couple of acres? Come to our next meetup and find out how the latest leading edge farming practices are making this a reality. This presentation will be very informative with lots interaction and engagement with the audience.

At our Adult-Only meeting, we'll start off with appetizers and networking at 7pm followed by a shared potluck dinner. I will provide the main course. Bring an appetizer, side, or dessert...or donate $5 to the jar - whichever is easiest. Water will be provided or bring your own drink if you prefer something else.

I'll provide paper plates and plastic tableware but rewards will be provided for those of you who bring your own eating/drinking utensils (in the spirit of sustainability)

Formal presentation will begin around 8:30pm and we'll end by 10pm.

I look forward to seeing everyone!

Your RSVP helps me plan how much food to make.

*** Don Dressel wanted to share the following as well for those of you who are interested in reading a related topic/website:

In 2010, the Post Carbon Institute  published The Post Carbon Reader, which is a collection of articles by the fellows of the institute. Each chapter is written by someone who’s knowledgeable about a different aspect of the issues that we are facing today. It’s a great book that I am about 60% through. And one of the fellows, Richard Heinberg, is a bestselling author and lecturer. He has written a number of great books; End of Growth, Power Down and a number of others. I read End of Growth and found it very informative. Heinberg also publishes Museletter; a great online newsletter and there are many great videos that Heinberg and/or the Institute had done that are available at no cost. Most are on YouTube. This is a link to Heinberg’s website http://richardheinberg.com/.

Are meet ups for adults only or do some people bring their kids? Do you ever gather on weekends?

Hi - Will you ever consider having the meetings closer to I-285 or closer to Gwinnett (such as Sandy Springs)??? As you know, it's really hard to get from one side of town to the other during rush hour (or hours). I'm really hoping to make a meeting sometime soon!
