Building Titanium with Alloy

In case you haven't heard, alloy is a new MVC framework for Titanium.....

"Alloy will allow Titanium developers, old and new, to develop cross-platform mobile applications easier and more effectively than ever. The separation of concerns will increase the scalability of your apps. Titanium best practices are generated for you under the hood, making your apps of the highest quality across platforms. The markup, styles, themes, and mountain of other Alloy features will take your producitivity to a whole new level."

In our session covering alloy we will:

  1. Identify the architectural framework of alloy (benefits, etc)
  2. Implement a simple set of scenarios (coding examples)
  3. Recognize sharp corners - what to look out for when implementing a new project in alloy
  4. Define how to port existing projects to alloy

Additional Details: The meeting will begin at 6:30pm allowing members time to network, arrive and enjoy pizza. At 7pm, ATD will give an introductory welcome, and will be shortly followed by the presentation. As always, everyone has the option to head downstairs to Aja for networking and drinks after the meeting.

Important Note: Parking at the One Alliance Center is $10. If you wish to go to Aja after the meeting they will validate part of your parking. If parking is a problem, some members park at Phipps Plaza for free and walk over. ATD  does NOT validate parking.
