Atlanta Web Apps Coder Challenge # 2
Last month we had two members publish apps in the store. As a reward we gave away a surface and over $150 worth of additional prizes for the first challenge. We can't guarantee that the prizes will be this good every month, but you won't know until you try.
The rules are simple, pick a level that you want to tackle and start writing your code. Send your zipped submission to [masked] by the end of the month to be eligible. You will receive the number of tickets that the difficulty shows for a greater chance of winning a prize at the next AWA meeting (must be present to win).
Are you ready to take the challenge? Here's your task for July 2013 should you choose to accept it.
1 Create a trip planning app that can store the trip information in a local SQLite database.
2 Create a trip planning app that can store a user's information to the cloud using Azure Mobile Services.
3 Create a trip planning app using the Bing Map SDK to allow users to ping trip locations to the map and store them using SQLite and/or Azure Mobile Services.
5 Add the ability for other people to view your trip plan using the Search or Share charms.
10 Publish the app you created to the Windows Store.
Good luck, and get coding.
PS. If you have an idea for a future coder challenge, send it to [masked]. If we use your idea, you can win a prize as well.
