Xamarin 3! iOS and Android Development in C# with Xamarin

Xamarin is turning 3 years old! Come out and celebrate with us as we enjoy some quality and food, drinks, and intriguing discussions and presentations about Xamarin.

We are looking to see the amazing apps everyone has developed with Xamarin, and for them to share what they've learned while using it. If you've developed an app with Xamarin, we would love for you to contact us for a showcase at this meetup. In return for publicly speaking about your app, you'll get free exposure for your app at the meetup and get a chance to show off your success as a developer. Please contact us using the Contact button on the left hand nav bar to let us know if you would like to participate.

Here is our tentative schedule:

6:30-7:00pm - Mingle and grabbing food/drinks

7:00-7:30pm - Introduction and discussion of Cross-Platform Infographic

7:30-8:00pm - Xamarin 3 presentation

8:00-9:00pm - Xamarin App Showcase and Q&A

We look forward to seeing everyone out there!

Learned a lot last night. Nice overview of the climate of the current cross-platform market as well as showing off what is possible with Xamarin. I loved that the cross-platform comparison was fair and explained why each is chosen as opposed to just being a cheerleader for Xamarin - well done. Also, the real life examples by Roger were excellent - it was nice to see how he took an app from one platform to another - very inspiring. And finally, Karim's demo at the end was nice to see how the same code actually ported across iOS and Android. Well done - very knowledgeable people and a meetup that wasn't fluff - actually gave some meat to the presentation and has me excited to try out Xamarin.
