LeapMotion and 3D with JavaScript

This month we have 2 presentations about 3D technology!

1. Controlling Computers IN 3D with React.JS!

The trick to building apps that leverage the new LeapMotion Controller is staying responsive in the face of a continuous stream containing tons of data. I found that ReactJS and Flux are a natural fit to solving for this problem.

Laura Moore's interest in LeapMotion and gesture control in general is fueled by the daily driving challenge to switch between Audible and Waze in Atlanta traffic.

2. Adding 3D Functionality to Your Web Applications

Shiya Luo of AutoDesk will show us how easy it is to add 3D to our websites. She will talk the group through a Quick Start Guide of how to implement your own 3D model on the Web using Server and Client side API’s.

Shiya is a developer evangelist at Autodesk in the Cloud Platforms team. She evangelizes Autodesk APIs and writes web applications with them. Currently she is working with the View and Data API, a group of REST and JavaScript APIs that renders computer aided design files and 3D models on a browser.
