MySQL Replication Tutorial

Tony Darnell, Principal Sales Consultant with MySQL, will provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to setup replication with MySQL. MySQL Replication enables data from one MySQL database server (the master) to be replicated to one or more MySQL database servers (the slaves). Replication is asynchronous by default - slaves need not to connected permanently to receive updates from the master. You will learn how to replicate all databases, selected databases, or even selected tables within a database. We will also demonstrate a MySQL utility for automatic failover of the master database to a slave database.
