Thanks to our friends at Improbable Research (http://www.improbable.com/), the 23rd First Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony (http://www.improbable.com/ig/2013/) will introduce ten new Ig Nobel Prize winners. Each has done something that makes people laugh then think. The Prizes are handed to them by a group of genuine, genuinely bemused Nobel Laureates, in Harvard's historic, largest theater filled with 1100 improbable persons.

For the Science Tavern's second watch party featuring the marvelous Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony, we'll be trying out a new venue The Market at Parrish Food & Goods (http://www.parishatl.com/home.php#the_market), located on N. Highland Avenue in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward. Also, we'll be trying out new food service arrangements, with a flat $20 per person charge (which equates to $15 + tax and gratuity).

Here's the menu, which includes a selection of vegetarian options.

• hummus and pita platter

• specialty "lil biscuits" - half with bacon and cheese and half with just cheese

• vegetable platter

• separate meat and cheese platters

Your choice of soda and iced tea is included. Alcoholic beverages will be available on a cash bar basis.
