His Talk
"You don't have to know what a logarithm is to know what a discrete logarithm is and why it is useful. I will try to motivate some of my research with examples from the real world - ranging from card shuffles and rearranging genomic sequences to breaking prison ciphers and forging digital signatures. Along the way, I will share some anecdotes on mathematicians, hopefully shedding some light on why they do what they do." - Prasad
