I do want to thank the members that have made the transition into a full blown CrossFit box such a great few weeks. This place is truly shaping up to be one of if not the premier CrossFit facilities in the world...and I mean that 100%. The 2009 CrossFit Games were a lot of fun to watch and at this pace I can't help but wonder what kind of a shot ACF would have at the Affiliate Cup in 2010.

ROUTINE is the ENEMY!!! – Our specialty is not specializing!!

This is an organization of individuals who want to live a long, healthy, athletic life who are tired of the monotonous workouts at the gym.

CrossFit is a new way of working out. Gone are the days of sets, reps, rest periods and routines. ARE YOU READY???????

More times than not when you first lay your eyes on a new workout the first initial reaction is “that doesn’t look so tough”, well my answer to that is just do it and we’ll talk when you get done…9 times out of 10 your opinion of it will do a 180. Independent of your current fitness level there is one thing that everyone has in common. If you push yourself as hard as you possibly can, you WILL benefit from it. I know full and well that not everyone has the desire (or ability) to bust out 30 pull-ups but guess what? If you can only do 5 and every rep is a struggle then you did work and made gains so you win.

I can honestly say that the days of going to the gym and working out like the majority of the people are over. Every now and again there is a exception, I lift like I used to just to remind myself of how little I enjoy it, how much longer they take and especially how much less of a cardio aspect they entail.

I now ask you ARE YOU READY?? Ready to redefine the way you work out? Ready to mix up your everyday routine? Ready to blur the distinction between cardio and strength training? Ready to play new and exciting sports? Are you ready to specialize in not specializing???
