Windows Azure + Node.js

  • Nov 29, 2012 · 6:30 PM

Did you know that Windows Azure has great support for Node.js? Come to this session to learn more about it. You’ll see how take those existing node apps and easily deploy them to Windows Azure from any platform. We'll also cover how you can make your node apps more robust by leveraging Azure services like storage and service bus, all of which are available in our new “azure” npm module.

The presenter Mark Cowlishaw is an engineer on the Windows Azure Node.js team. Mark’s team at Microsoft develops Open Source libraries and tools for hosting Node.js applications in Windows Azure, including the IIS HttpModule for Node.js (iisnode), the Node.js libraries for Azure services, the Node.js cross-platform command line deployment tool for Azure, and The Windows Azure PowerShell commandlets.
