About us
The Austin Arts Collective is a group of people that support the visual arts in Austin, Texas.
We include visual artists of any expression: jewelry makers, photographers, painters, welders, graphic artists, ceramicists, sculptors, glass blowers, weavers, print makers, seamstresses, etc.
You are equally welcome if you are an art buyer, enthusiast, publisher, historian, curator, etc.
Come meet with us to informally network and socialize. Pass some cards around. Get to know each other. We primarily post all art openings that we can find so that you have the opportunity to view art and meet the artists. We want people to Think Austin, Think Art.
Be sure to check out our Discussion Forum for valuable resource guides in the arts. And, feel free to send us an email if you are interested in hosting an event.

Opening: Outlet Within
Dougherty Arts Center, 1110 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704, USA, Austin, TX, USFrom the Dougherty Arts Center:
“Outlet Within showcases the work of Dougherty Arts Center’s 2026 Resident Artists Victoria Zhuk, Stefania Garcia, Minnie Rogers, Gargi Sharma, and Nathan Anthony.
Victoria Zhuk’s intuitively hand built vessels house a place where the artist’s anxiety transforms into a garden of curiosity. Stefania Garcia’s playful sculptures of insects, both real and imagined, ask the viewer to consider the beauty in the smallest creatures. Minnie Rogers navigates a quasi-medical narrative, transforming everyday items found in hospitals such as pain scales and medical gloves into whimsical sculptural forms and motifs. Nathan Anthony uses the inherently haptic nature of making sculptures to explore the relationship between handmade and mechanized production. In her final exhibit at the DAC, veteran Resident Gargi Sharma collects and reconstructs memories into familiar forms, narrating stories hidden beneath everyday objects and surfaces."Reception October 14, 2026 | 7:00 - 9:00 pm
