I wanted to start this Meetup as a way to introduce horses and the Equestrian sport to ladies in Austin. I am a professional instructor with a facility in North Austin. I have lots of horses that need attention and lots of work that needs to be done.
If you are a lady over the age of 18 and want to work with horses this is the place for you. All levels of experience welcome! If interest grows we will have some social gatherings at the farm and who knows where we will go from there?
For many a horse is a connection with nature. We find companionship and solace while working with horses. Although riding can present its frustrations and challenges most people find it a relaxing pastime. If you crave solitude, riding can provide that as well. Many horse owners feel their horse is somewhat of a kindred spirit in tune with their own feelings and emotions; more so than any human companion. In times of stress a horse can be a quiet friend, who is without judgment or guile.
