I have chronic neck pain which appears to be caused
by a few herniated discs in my neck.
For a few years, I was basically unable to work at all and could not
even socialize (too much standing or sitting in 'uncontrolled' chairs)
A few years ago I went to see Dr. Eduardo Elizondo at SpineAustin and
made tremendous progress primarily through physical therapy and
the accidental discovery that continuous acetaminophen for a few days can break
me out of a bad feedback cycle.
I'm now able to work almost full time but have enough restrictions
on my work environment that it is quite career limiting. (Too many hours
standing, sitting in less than optimal chairs, or in airplane seats will
practically paralyze me with pain).
I am hoping to find a doctor who can take the time to help me find
the root cause of my neck pain problems and improve them
enough to allow me to work like a normal person.
Do any of you have recommendations?
BTW, for those who are feeling totally lost with spine-related neck and
back pain, I would suggest trying SpineAustin. They certainly helped
me tremendously. Now I'm hoping to improve to the next level.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
