The Clojure Cup (https://clojurecup.com/) will be on the 27th/28th this month. Last year (http://2013.clojurecup.com/), the meetup formed two teams. It was a lot of fun, so we're going to make a go of it again this year. Dar (https://twitter.com/DarMontou) will talk a bit about the competition and lead a brainstorming session on app ideas. If you want to participate with us, please show up so we can help you find a team. All skill levels are welcome.

This talk examines how we can build functional web applications using ClojureScript, Om and core.async. Specifically, we'll see how ClojureScript's functional nature (e.g. immutable, persistent data structures) gives us an unprecedented advantage for UI-heavy applications.
