Thursday Night Northern Ride : Intermediate ride

Its Thursday and we need to ride!!

wheels down at 6:15pm

The route will stay the same. This way if anyone ever shows up late then they will know how to find us.

Pace will be between 15 and 17mph. Depending on wind.

Required:

1. Lights ... Front steady beam and a back red blinking light ( required by law )
2. Working bike
3. Helmet
4. Water
5. Food
6. Tube, co2 and anything else you need to keep you and yourself rolling.

This route is pretty safe and minimal traffic. Usually see 4 cars on this route the hole time. Send me a message or post here for questions.

Light Recommendations :

Headlights
This is the best light for the money if you are on a budget. You can usually find them from other stores for about $80 to $100 with out the 100% guarantee.

I currently use this light for road biking and it casts such a great beam that you can supply light to two riders. This light is brighter than the one posted above. The brighter light is better when you are cranking above 20mph. Other than that the 1100 lumens is to much. The beam pattern on this light is better than the beam pattern on all other lights I have used.

Tail Lights

Battery powered
For a budget this light is really bright and very good. It has lasted 3 years and still going strong.

Rechargeable
I recommend this for a tail light. On low blinking lasts for 9 hours and does not use batteries.
