Xavier Zarate is an EGRSO Business Information Coordinator and manages the Entrepreneur Center of Austin a small business education and event venue and the Family Business Loan Program to help fund expansion projects. Mr. Zarate earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and is currently completing an MBA in Finance both from St. Edwards University. He had a 6-year career in banking with Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase Bank prior to joining the City of Austin, rising from personal banker to assistant branch manager, and then to licensed banker registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). During his banking career, Mr. Zarate assisted new clients with loans applications, conducted financial readiness presentations, served as a compliance officer, and managed both branch operations and cash control. Bring your questions, Mr. Zarate will give a Small Business Development Program Overview and mention the Family Business Loan Program (accompanied with FBLP flyer).
