We already know Lean Startup works for startups (it has to, it's right there in the name). Shouldn't we be able to take Lean Startup beyond seven people in a room?

Eric Ries says it's so, Steve Blank nods in that direction and new books are coming out breathlessly proclaiming the truth. There are lots of contexts in which we could ask this question, how does an established company integrate Lean Startup?

Steve Sanderson, currently the Resident Lean Startup Expert at Rackspace, will explore some key lessons learned in applying Lean Startup beyond the (obvious) early-stage startup context. As a collection of stories from direct experience, he hopes to share some insights that have come from having compared and contrasted elements of Lean Startup between a broad variety of contexts.

Prior to joining Rackspace, Steve drank from the firehose of Lean Startup & Customer Development as the VP of Product Development for Food on the Table and the Acting CEO / VP of Technology for FiveRuns. After many years working in early-stage startups, he decided to avoid the obvious safety & predictability of another startup and instead took the the much riskier role of bringing Lean Startup into an existing 5000+ person organization as well as pursuing his passion for a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of Lean Startup & Customer Development.
