Digital Media Special Interest Group

Please note: this meeting is being run by the Capital Macintosh usergroup. You don't have to be a Mac user, as a lot of the software they use is cross-platform. Most of the equipment at ChannelAustin is Macintosh-based though. Every month this group explores the latest tools and techniques in digital media: Final Cut Pro, Logic, Motion, and so on. And we'll go hands-on with the latest cameras, lighting and production tools. We'll explore non-Apple products, too: AVID, Digidesign, Media 100, AfterEffects, and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite. They'll also occasionally have industry professionals who will share their own experiences and tips for aspiring media artists - and maybe even a sneak-peek at a few of their current projects. The Digital Media SIG is scheduled for every fourth Wednesday February 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the new HD Studios at channelAustin. Future meetings will be held on the fourth Wednesday every month, from 7:00 – 9:00pm. Anyone with an interest in any aspect of digital media – from novice to pro – is welcome to attend.
