Picnic and Jam

Hi all,

I'm planning a Picnic and Jam Meetup, Sunday evening, August 15th @ 7:30pm at Katherine Fleischer Park in Wells Branch ... North Austin. I realize this may not be convenient for those of you from the south, but I had to pick somewhere and it's a relatively easy Sunday afternoon drive with not a lot of traffic.

This'll be a great opportunity to meet fellow musicians and music lovers in a very relaxed, peaceful and serene environment. It's high time for all 220 of you to meet one another.

Bring an acoustic instrument and/or a singing voice. If you're not a musician, just bring yourself!

Fleischer Park is a beautiful little place with a small lake, swimming pool, trail and lots of shade trees. It's located just north off Wells Branch Parkway in between Mopac and I-35.

Directions: Off Wells Branch Parkway, turn north on Surrender Ave. go all the way to the end. Make a left onto Klattenhoff Dr. and the entrance will be on your right. There should be plenty of parking but if not, I think it's ok to park along the curb next to the houses across the street. (Google it if your not sure of the location)

We'll meet just inside the columned entrance at the round kiosk in the middle of the children's playground. I'll have a sign.

Bring a food, snacks, soda and/or water as it still may be a little warm, however when the sun sets, it'll feel more comfortable.

Please note: there is no alcohol permitted.

Important: Please RSVP by 11pm Saturday night the 14th so I'll know who's coming. If we don't get at least 10 members who commit to attending, I'll cancel and we'll re-schedule it for another time.

Be sure to check Sunday morning's calendar (I'll also send out a group email) to see if it's still on. The event is open to all. Feel free to bring your friends and families.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

I hope to see a huge turnout ... it'll be a lot of fun!
