During my college years I was an "insane" athlete...working out 2-3 times a day at the Rec Center, downing the latest fad pre-workout stimulants & supplements, and filling my body full of grainy garbage. Needless to say this led to health issues (predominately blood sugar regulation). My doctors offered few solutions: eat more complex carbs, flooding my body with grain which made me feel even worse or begin the long battery of tests with an endocrinology specialist. This is when I decided that a radical action was required...
As a lifelong marial artist, I have always held an interest in fitness and health. I have been aware of the paleo diet / primal lifestyle since 2009, however I've only been able to show success for a few months at a time
